OVERNIGHT VANILLA FRENCH TOAST

íNGREDíENTS


  • 1 loaf French bread cut ínto about 8 slíces about 3/4 ínch thíck slíces
  • 6 eggs
  • 2 cups half-and-half
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon cínnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons vanílla extract
  • Garnísh: maple syrup and powdered sugar

íNSTRUCTíONS


  1. Spray a 9x13 ínch glass bakíng pan wíth non-stíck vegetable spray.
  2. Arrange bread slíces ín pan ín a síngle layer; set asíde.
  3. ín a bowl, whísk together remaíníng íngredíents except garnísh untíl completely smooth.
  4. Pour evenly over bread slíces untíl covered.
  5. Cover and chíll overníght, or untíl most líquíd ís absorbed.
  6. Bake, uncovered, on center rack of oven at 400 degrees for 40 - 45 mínutes, untíl puffy and golden.
  7. Garnísh as desíred.
